Lady Gaga is an American performer, songwriter, actress and musician who has an estimated value of $320 million. Lady Gaga, also known by Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta began her career as a performer in musical theatre and burlesque in the New York's East Village. She was a struggle for a number of years, but she finally began to make progress in 2005, releasing her first album and making songs for other artists for example, Britney Spears, Fergie, and the Pussycat Dolls. While the album she released "The Fame" was only moderately popular in the early days, "Just Dance", the single that debuted from the album, was a massive success just five months after. The constant touring she did in Europe as well as smaller clubs across the US was paying off, and by the end of 2009, several tracks from the album became routine songs on radio stations and she received multiple Grammy nominations, and two Grammy Awards, for all of her perseverance and hard work. Her music has been a huge success and continues to attract attention. A vocal social activist and an excellent exhibitor her appearances at awards ceremonies are often greeted with the attention of their own.
